Dispatch
One of the most successful bands in the roots rock scene, Dispatch was formed by Brad Corrigan and Chadwick Stokes. Based in the Boston area, the band first played live in 1996 and continued to do so until 2002. After that, the band members declared a break that would eventually endure for over ten years. During this time, the group performed reunion shows in Boston (2004), New York City (2007), and Washington, D.C. 2009). The band announced a nationwide tour at the start of 2011, bringing the sabbatical to a close. Dispatch issued an all-new EP in May of that same year, which included six brand-new songs—their first release since 2000. In 2012, the band released Circles Around the Sun, their first studio album in nearly ten years, along with an iTunes session. That summer, they toured North America in support of the record.
"Ain't No Trip to Cleveland Vol. 1" is a double-disc live album that was announced by Dispatch on April 22, 2013, and it was released on June 4, 2013. On June 2, 2017, Dispatch made a comeback with the publication of their new album, America, Location 12.
The band has carved out a thriving career for themselves outside of the mainstream music industry. Without any traditional radio or major label support, the band has amassed eight studio albums, five live albums, and twenty-five years of touring and festivals experience. They have sold out three nights at Madison Square Garden and attracted over 100,000 fans to a massive outdoor show in their adopted hometown of Boston. This has made them one of the biggest success stories in the history of independent music.
